Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 global flooring leader, is seeking a dependable forklift operator to support our production lines in Dalton, GA. You’ll operate lift equipment, monitor fiber quality, manage bin levels, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while coordinating with maintenance to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth running.

This role covers four critical lines: Tearing Line #1, Tearing Line #2, Balers, and the Blend Line.

Qualifications

Must have experience operating a lift truck.
Strong attention to quality and detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic writing and math skills for downtime reporting.

Responsibilities

Operate four machines: Tearing Line #1, Tearing Line #2, Balers, and Blend Line.
Monitor quality of fiber from tearing lines.
Monitor fiber levels in finished fiber bins (two bins per card line).
Keep area, including machines, clean at all times.
When finished bins are full, run fiber to balers and record bale ticket numbers on the production sheet.
Break down machines when there is a problem.
Work with maintenance to maintain and troubleshoot machines.
The two operators share breaks; during that time one operator handles all tasks.
