Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Dalton, GA is seeking a Lift Truck Operator II for the C shift (7am-7pm). You will prepare orders, move materials, and support production lines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires experience with powered industrial trucks, ability to obtain certification, basic Office skills, and a strong safety mindset. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities to advance within Mohawk’s global flooring operations.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a powered industrial truck (preferred).
• Ability to complete powered industrial truck certification course (or valid Mohawk PIT certification).
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to changes.
• Commitment to safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders for shipment and verify accuracy of order and products.
• Deliver raw materials to production lines and transport finished materials from production areas to warehousing and distribution areas.
• Assist with scheduling inbound loads and communicating with management.
• Assist management with raw material inventory counting and perform other inventory management tasks.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment for defects or malfunctions.
• Monitor the quality of padding in buggies and report deficiencies to management.
• Ensure sufficient empty buggies and trailers for night shift.
• Operate powered industrial trucks/equipment such as forklifts, to unload/load materials.
• Attend job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Train others on internal processes and procedures.
• Maintain records, reports and other documentation.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
