Job summary

CompX National in Mauldin, SC is seeking a Polisher/Finisher for 1st shift. The role focuses on polishing, buffing, and finishing metal parts with attention to detail while maintaining a safe work environment.

The position supports a team-based manufacturing setting with standard hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Benefits are offered as part of a comprehensive package for eligible employees.

Responsibilities

• Operate polishers, buffers, and other finishing equipment.

• Inspect parts for imperfections, defects, cracks, or other issues.
• Keep the work area clean and safe at all times.
• Work effectively in a team and follow all safety procedures.

Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Position Responsibilities:

• Operate polishers, buffers, and/or other special equipment
• Safely operate machinery for polishing, buffing, and dull brushing
• Use specialty machinery (belt sanders, grinders, buffers) and abrasive compounds to smooth and shine metal parts
• Inspect parts for imperfections, defects, cracks, etc
• Keep work area clean and safe at all times
• Must have attention to detail and work in a very safe manner
• Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as necessary
• Required to hold pipe up to 10 pounds for at least 10 minutes at a time
• Follow all safety procedures
• Must be able to work in a team setting
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Work area can become warm during summer months
