Job summary

CompX National in Mauldin, SC is seeking a Team Member F - Polisher / Finisher on the 2nd Shift. You will operate polishers, buffers and related equipment to smooth and shine metal parts while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate polishers, buffers, and/or other special equipment
• Safely operate machinery for polishing, buffing, and dull brushing
• Use specialty machinery (belt sanders, grinders, buffers) and abrasive compounds to smooth and shine metal parts
• Inspect parts for imperfections, defects, cracks, etc
• Keep work area clean and safe at all times
• Must have attention to detail and work in a very safe manner
• Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as necessary
• Required to hold pipe up to 10 pounds for at least 10 minutes at a time
• Follow all safety procedures
• Must be able to work in a team setting
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Work area can become warm during summer months

Shift: 2nd Monday - Friday 3:30 pm - Midnight

Shift Premium: $1.50 per hour
