CompX National is hiring a Machine Operator on our 2nd Shift in Mauldin, SC. The role involves operating mills, drill presses, lathes and fixtures to produce a variety of parts, reading blueprints and ISO documents, and supporting machining activities.

Shift: 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3:30 PM - Midnight

Shift Premium: $1.50

Pay: $17.23 /hr. - $25.29 /hr. (DOE)

Position Responsibilities:

• Operate miscellaneous machines including mills, drill presses, lathes, punch presses, and fixtures to produce a variety of parts
• Perform various tasks to support machining
• Read and understand blueprints, ISO documents, and measuring equipment
• Maintain quality and efficiency
• Follow all plant Safety procedures
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Understand and practice Quality System requirements and documentation (i.e., applicable inspection, verification, and disposition procedures, and/or instructions and forms required as part of the process)

Essential Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must be attentive to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in an environment of oil, coolant, and metal chips
