Job summary

Nisqually Red Wind Casino in Olympia, WA is seeking a dedicated team member to prepare and present high-quality food in the Team Member Dining Room. You will open, maintain, and close the TDR, ensuring sanitation and food safety standards are met and that guests receive exceptional value.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year kitchen experience, a Food Handlers Permit, and the ability to work all shifts including weekends. NRWC may require pre-employment testing and a Class II gaming license.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a kitchen facility.
• Food Handlers Permit.
• Current knowledge of occupational safety issues and food safety guidelines.
• Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
• Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain a Class II gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare both TDR and Main Kitchen food items for daily service.
• Cold and hot wells are kept clean and well maintained throughout shift.
• Responsible for all food items being rotated.
• Monitor food temperatures on all hot and cold foods.
• Ensure food quality and quantity in food service area.
• Communicate with Main Kitchen regarding updates and menu changes.
• Responsible for all food items and paper products being stocked in the TDR.
• Clean all areas of kitchen and TDR to maintain sanitation.
• Ensure work areas comply with OSHA and HACCP standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.
