People’s Food Co-op is hiring for full-time and part-time deli counter positions in Wisconsin. Duties include preparing sandwiches, beverages, and keeping the deli area clean and well-stocked.

You will work in a fast-paced setting, interact with customers, and help ensure quality and accuracy across orders. The role requires the ability to lift 45 lbs, work in wet/cold environments, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwiches, specialty coffee and tea beverages for customers.
• Keep soup and salad bar stocked and clean.
• Prep various products for the next day.
• Clean dishes, sweep, mop, and remove trash.
• Oversee receipt of orders and verify invoice accuracy and product quality.
• Ensure proper product rotation.
• Assist with inventory of items.
• Direct deli staff to maintain adequate deli salads and entrees.
• Ensure all staff activities comply with health code guidelines.

Job description

We have the below full-time and part-time shifts available:

Part-time closer (12:30pm - 8:30pm) working Monday - Thursday

Full-time closer (12:30pm - 8:30pm) working Friday - Tuesday

This position pay $16.00 per hour

People’s Food Co-op is currently seeking full-time employees to work in the Deli Counter. They efficiently and accurately perform all functions at the deli service counter, assist customers, and ensure that each and every customer feels engaged and delighted.

The Work Includes

• Preparing sandwiches, specialty coffee and tea beverages, and other items for customers
• Ensuring the soup and salad bar remains stocked and clean
• Prepping various products for the next day
• Cleaning to include: dishes, sweeping, mopping, trash removal
• Oversee the receipt of orders and verify invoice accuracy and product quality.
• Ensure proper product rotation.
• participate in orientation and training for all deli counter staff.
• Assist with inventory of items.
• Direct deli staff to ensure an adequate supply and selection of deli salads, entrees, home meal replacements, hot case foods, soups, sandwiches, and bakery items.
• Ensure all staff activities and operations are compliant with health code guidelines in absence of the Department Manager.
