Job summary

Popeyes in Frisco, TX is hiring a Cook - Team Member to deliver hot, fresh meals in a clean, safe kitchen. You’ll prepare menu items to Popeyes standards, follow recipes, manage portions, and help maintain efficient kitchen operations during peak service.

We welcome applicants with at least 6 months in QSR, a high school diploma or GED, and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. ServSafe knowledge and POS experience are a plus; great teamwork is a must.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in the Quick Service Restaurant industry.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Availability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Familiarity with a POS system and ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

As a Cook - Team Member at Popeyes, you play a critical role in delivering the brand promise of hot, fresh, and flavorful food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment. You are responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to Popeyes® standards, following established recipes, portion controls, and food safety guidelines. You will operate kitchen equipment safely, maintain organized and sanitary workstations, and support overall kitchen flow during peak service periods. This role requires consistency, speed, and attention to detail to ensure every guest receives high-quality food prepared with Popeyes® famous Cajun Hospitality.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements):

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, currently preferred.
• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Familiarity with a POS system and ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
• Must be 18 years or older.
