Job summary

Ben & Jerry's Providence Scoop Shop is hiring a Team Member (Scooper) to greet guests, scoop ice cream, and keep the shop running smoothly. You’ll build friendly experiences, handle orders at the register, and help teammates during rushes.

This role offers flexible scheduling, a fun environment, and opportunities to grow into shift lead or supervisory roles over time. Physical requirements include standing for full shifts and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve ice cream, shakes, and other treats quickly and accurately, keeping quality, portioning, and presentation consistently high.
• Run the register, handle cash and card transactions carefully, and keep lines moving during busy periods.
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and fully stocked so each guest has a great experience from open to close.
• Bring positive energy to every shift, collaborating with teammates to handle rushes, catering orders, and special events.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards to maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests and coworkers.

What You'll Do

• Within your first few weeks, you confidently scoop, ring up orders, and answer guest questions with minimal guidance.

• Shifts run smoothly because you stay on top of cleaning, restocking, and side work without needing reminders.
• You become a reliable team member others count on to show up on time, help during rushes, and support new hires as they learn the ropes.

Compensation And Benefits

• $18-$23 per hour (minimum wage plus tips)
