Job summary

Firehouse Subs is seeking energetic, dependable Crew Members for part-time roles in Charlotte, NC. You’ll be the face of the brand, delivering friendly service and quality food in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, taking orders, preparing items, operating the POS, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. No prior experience required, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Basic math for cash handling and retail transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Prior restaurant, retail, or grocery experience is a plus but not required.

A Team Member must understand the importance of the customer experience and understand that they are the “Face” of Firehouse Subs. Real people serving awesome sandwiches to real people. What You’ll Do

• Deliver outstanding guest service with every interaction—greet and thank customers with a smile and eye contact.
• Prepare and serve food items efficiently while maintaining Firehouse Subs’ quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Operate kitchen and deli equipment safely (meat slicer, knives, chopper, steamer, etc.).
• Accurately take orders and process transactions using POS systems (Aloha or Micros).
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations, plus Firehouse Subs policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace including prep areas, dining room, and sanitation stations.
• Support store operations through food handling, serving, bussing, and general cleaning.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding issues impacting operations.
• Foster teamwork and represent Firehouse Subs in a professional, positive manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Management Team.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive, can‑do attitude.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with POS systems preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Previous restaurant, retail, or grocery experience is a plus but not required enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
