Team Manager – PANERA CAFE

Overview

As a Team Manager at Panera, you are key to the success of your bakery‑cafe. You manage a wide range of responsibilities to ensure that both customers and associates have a great experience. You report directly to the General Manager or Operating Partner and oversee a different part of the bakery‑cafe, from food cost management to drive‑thru, delivery, or catering operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure extraordinary guest experiences by delighting customers with quality food, service, staff, and safety.
• Build engaging relationships that lead to long‑term, loyal customers.
• Coach and motivate the team to exceed bakery‑cafe goals for sales, speed of service, order accuracy, and café health.
• Train the team on food safety standards and ensure compliance.
• Lead, manage, and develop associates: hire, onboard, provide ongoing training, give constructive feedback, and celebrate achievements.
• Keep the team energized, engaged, and focused on excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to direct, motivate, coach, and develop others in a fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to run great shifts.
• 1+ year(s) of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification or ability to pass the certification.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Must submit to a background check.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Commitment to health and food safety standards.
