Job summary

Yazaki North America in Lansing, MI is seeking a Team Lead I to maintain daily warehouse operations in the absence of the Supervisor. You will organize daily associate activities, train staff, review progress, and ensure customer-specific requirements are met while supporting health and safety and quality policies.

Minimum of 4 years in a warehouse or rework environment with forklift certification and proficiency in PkMS and Microsoft Office is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in organizing daily associate activities
• Prepares reports as required by Management
• Reports and resolves shortages, damages, non-conformances, and other discrepancies
• Maintains accurate department records and documentation
• Reads and understands blueprints
• Provides assistance and training in established processes, procedures, and technical applications
• Understands equipment and materials required to perform the job
• Ensures proper equipment and tools are available for associates to perform daily activities
• Contacts internal customers directly
• Assists management in addressing customer issues and concerns
• Assures that Customer Specific Requirements are met
• Assists Facility or Department Manager / Supervisor as directed
• Assists management in meeting corporate and departmental goals and objectives
• Supports corporate policies and departmental policies
• Supports EMS/QMS policies and procedures
• Supports health and safety policies
• Associate must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions
• Experience with the following systems: PkMS, Microsoft Office applications
