Yazaki North America is seeking a Rework Supervisor to provide daily direction, feedback, and coaching. You will define departmental objectives and act as a communicator of processes, policies, and administrative issues to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

The role requires training associates, planning schedules, generating reports and metrics, managing budgets, and coordinating with internal/external customers while upholding EMS/QMS and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 years as a Yazaki North America team lead, or 4 years external supervisory experience preferably in a rework/manufacturing environment.
  • Travel as required; on-call 24/7 including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper training and related documentation for all department associates.
  • Plans, organizes, and supervises associate work schedules.
  • Generates weekly/monthly/annual reports, metrics, and KPIs as required by management.
  • Accountable for all operational expenses related to the facility or department.
  • Assists in budgeting and maintaining annual budgets.
  • Addresses customer issues and concerns and ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains accurate department records and documentation.
  • Supports health and safety policies and EMS/QMS procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is designed to give daily direction, provide feedback and coaching, define departmental objectives, and act as a communicator of processes, policies, and administrative issues. The Rework Supervisor will also be tasked with providing an example for all associates, insuring customer satisfaction with regard to department objectives, and promoting continuous improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures proper training and related documentation for all department associates
  • Plans, organizes, and supervises associate work schedules
  • Generates weekly / monthly / annual reports, metrics, and key process indicators as required by Management
  • Accountable for all operational expenses related to the facility or department
  • Assists in the preparation and maintaining of annual budgets
  • Contacts YNA Internal and External Customers
  • Addresses Customer issues and concerns
  • Reports and resolves shortages, damages, and other discrepancies
  • Assures that Customer Specific Requirements are met
  • Performs Layered Audits
  • Maintains accurate department records and documentation
  • Ensures and oversees proper storage and maintenance of equipment
  • Addresses and resolves associates’ administrative and personal issues and concerns
  • Assists Facility Manager as directed
  • Assists management in meeting corporate and departmental goals and objectives
  • Supports YNA Corporate policies and departmental standards and policies
  • Supports EMS/QMS policies and procedures
  • Supports health and safety policies
  • Associate must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions
  • Knowledge and application of the following systems:
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • JDE One World
  • GQRS
  • Warehouse Management Systems (PkMS/SAP)
  • IPS
  • ARE/ARS
  • Customer Specific Systems
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Degree Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Certification Requirements:

Previous Experience:

(3) years as a YNA team lead, or (4) years external supervisory experience preferably in a rework or manufacturing environment

Travel Requirements:

As Required

On Call Requirements:

24/7 including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
