Trane Technologies in Georgia is seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader to champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement on an on-site production line.

You will lead a multi-shift team, ensure standard work, coordinate workload, and coach others in Lean principles while maintaining strong communication with all levels. The role requires hands-on mechanical skills and a commitment to delivering production goals safely.

Formación

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years or more manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience influencing others.
  • Knowledge and application of the Lean Principles.

  • Must have good written and oral interpersonal communication skills.

  • Must be able to promote continuous improvement in products, services and processes.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Demonstrate through actions and behavior a commitment to quality; acts as quality champion for team.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency of all jobs within the team; coordinates team job rotation schedule and flexing of team members in assigned work area to ensure one piece work flow and that the team’s production goals are achieved.
  • Effectively communicate with associates at all levels including material handlers, production leaders, etc.
  • Knowledge & understanding of operational excellence and compliance with completing all standard work required of the team leader position.
  • Update MDI boards and maintain simple metrics and prioritization.
  • Recommend work schedules and coordination of workforce planning.
  • Does job hazard assessments and simple EHS related tasks.
  • Developing and encouraging team members to meet.
  • Improving the line through simple problem solving.
  • Support the manufacturing process through technical skill such as welding or assembly.

Where is the work: On-Site (5 days)

  • Perform tasks requiring hand and eye coordination, with good hand dexterity (gripping and pinching repetitively) for more than 2/3’s of work shift.
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally. Lifting or carrying objects over 50 pounds requires a two person lift, or a lift assist.
  • Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and/or stoop repetitively 6 to 8 hours per day.
  • Reach overhead repetitively for more than 2/3’s of work shift.
  • Stand continuously for 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Climb up and down stairs up to 3 hours per day.
  • Use of senses to detect quality defects and unsafe conditions.
  • Basic visual requirements for precision work.
  • Moderate physical exertion.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $25.52. Compensation Type: Hourly.
