Job summary

KI, a leading furniture solutions provider, seeks an Assembly Technician for its Green Bay, WI plant on 1st shift. The role includes welding, fabrication equipment operation, and light programming of bending machines. A $1/hour raise is offered within the first year.

The candidate should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in warm environments, and participate in continuous improvement efforts with the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in welding/manufacturing is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to shift needs.

Responsibilities

• Hand weld product per production schedules.
• Maintain high quality and welds conform to specs.
• Operate fabrication equipment (robotic welders, hydraulic banks, drill presses).
• Program or edit tube or wire bending equipment as needed.
• Review schedules and coordinate with team.
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement events.

KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time Assembly Technician to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility on our 1st shift. A $1.00/hour raise is also given within the first year of employment

Job Duties:

• Successfully hand weld product based on production schedule needs
• Maintain high levels of quality and ensure product is welded properly
• Operation of all fabrication equipment in the cell (robotic welders, hydraulic banks, drill presses…)
• Required to operate, edit and program tube or wire bending equipment in the cell
• Follow production schedules, determine what should run and huddle with the team.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen events, layout planning, Value Stream Mapping as events happen)

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Value Added Skills:

• Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience, but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Working in areas where it can get warm
• Working in a smoke free environment
• Activities including standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending

• Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow

Shift:

• This is a 1st Shift position
• Hours are 6am-2pm Monday – Friday
• Overtime during busy season
