Position Overview

UPMC is seeking a full-time Team Leader of Distribution to support our Equipment Depot located in the South Side of Pittsburgh. This role works Monday-Friday, 7 am - 3 pm, with weekends off.

Purpose

Oversees the distribution of supplies and equipment, ensuring professional and service-oriented communication with department user groups.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in evaluating, disciplining, and developing the distribution staff.
2. Manage schedule of 8-15 hourly employees using Microsoft Office.
3. Develop and maintain communication and organizational skills for efficient department operation.
4. Maintain an error ratio less than .05% through proper direction on put-away and picking.
5. Ensure awareness of department/hospital policies and procedures.
6. Maintain quality at the end line staging area as a dock master.
7. Responsible for completing duties of the highest performing 30% of team members.
8. Participate actively in distribution functions.
9. Ensure proper maintenance of distribution equipment.
10. Use ERP systems to manage inventory adjustments.
11. Deliver products to hospitals using 26-foot box trucks.
12. Operate heavy lift equipment above 25 feet.
13. Conform to departmental attendance policies.
14. Demonstrate knowledge of inventory platforms.
15. Maintain warehouse cleanliness standards.
16. Assign work and monitor completion.
17. Contribute to achieving budget goals through productivity and safety practices.
18. Maintain DOT licensing requirements.
19. Operate a Management Service Console laptop for voice-directed picking.
20. Complete annual equipment and safety training.
21. Qualifications include a high school diploma or college degree, supervisory experience preferred, and ability to manage shift employees.
22. Must be able to lift, move, push, or pull items weighing 50-100 lbs.
