Overall Function
Assists the Program Supervisor with the daily activities of Crisis Intervention Services, program operations, and supervision of staff.
Essential Functions
- Assists with the implementation of short and long-term program goals, ensuring compliance with all government rules, regulations, and agency policies and procedures.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual program budget, monitors monthly expenditures, and identifies new funding opportunities.
- Participates in staff training through individual conferences or staff meetings, monitoring performance to ensure quality service delivery.
- Assists the program supervisor with interviewing, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff.
- Prepares and submits all required correspondence, records, reports, and documentation accurately and timely.
- Promotes community awareness of program activities.
- Initiates intra- and interagency contact to facilitate client care.
- Provides direct services, including interviewing clients, facilitating client groups, and being on call for the CARE Management Team.
- Adheres to all policies, laws, regulations, and ethical standards, including confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws and agency policies.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related social services field with progressive experience in human services, or a Bachelor's Degree with three (3) years of experience in human services.
- Ability to gather vital information during interviews to make proper recommendations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, providers, and social service agencies.
- Must obtain Criminal History Clearance from the Pennsylvania State Police, Child Abuse Clearance from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
- Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or other federal health programs.
