This is a 3rd shift role, with a schedule from Sunday to Thursday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM Eastern Time.

Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of Associates and managing workflow across all aspects of the production process for Case Molding and Component Molding. The role requires operating all machinery, providing training, and ensuring team members follow proper and safe practices. Cross-training across all manufacturing departments is essential, with rotations as needed by business demands.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership and guidance to production workers by setting clear expectations, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance to meet production goals.
  2. Ensure timely completion of manufacturing processes, including setup, operation, and changeovers, and address production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  3. Train and coach team members to enhance skills and promote professional growth. Identify cross-training opportunities to increase team flexibility. Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports for management.
  4. Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with peers and management to implement efficiency enhancements and waste reduction strategies.
  5. Enforce quality control standards, conduct regular quality checks, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  6. Monitor raw material levels and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
  7. Oversee work performance, provide feedback and data for performance reviews, and coach team members continuously. Report concerns to supervisors/managers promptly.
  8. Serve as a backup to team members in different departments to ensure seamless operations.
  9. Participate in cross-training activities to develop skills for technical functions such as start-ups, material changes, and troubleshooting.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes; advanced knowledge is a plus.
  • Cross-trained and functional across all manufacturing departments.
  • Experience and willingness to cross-train in various technical and operational functions.
