Description

• Communicates with team on priorities given by the Production Supervisor
• Directs the work to be performed by the group
• Assists assigned personnel in resolving on-the-job technical issues
• Functions as the liaison with other departments
• Ensures necessary parts and/or tooling are provided for efficient task completion
• Responsible for ensuring team members have enough work to stay productive
• Processes and tracks completion of training documents
• Works with the team to reduce waste (time spent on non-value-added activities)
• Responsible for quality output of the team
• Provides input to the manager for performance reviews
• Ensures compliance with all work and safety rules
• Refers employee, team, and departmental problems to the manager
• Motivates the team to achieve organizational goals
• Understands and communicates team metrics effectively
• Conducts all team training and maintains associated paperwork for HR records
• Performs Layered Process Audits as required
• Capable of performing all tasks related to a Machine Operator II
• Dedicated at least 5 hours to machine operation
• Maintains organization on the shop floor
• Manages completion of inspection sheets, process tags, and finished goods tags

Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in Operations
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Strong organizational skills to guide the team
