Paris Baguette is hiring a Team Leader to direct crew, ensure efficient store operations, and deliver friendly service to customers. The role involves beverage prep, displays, POS handling, and maintaining a clean, safe environment in a fast-paced bakery café setting.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of food handling or store experience, a High School Diploma/GED, and a customer-focused attitude. Training includes food safety practices, cash handling, and teamwork in a lively NYC-area

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of food handling/store experience in a Paris Baguette retail store.
• High School Diploma/GED or some college preferred.
• Current ServSafe certification or ability to become certified is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all customers, in person or by phone.
• Check quality of all products for displays and rotate displays.
• Delegate duties among crew and supervise completion of tasks.
• Enter orders in the POS and operate the POS system.
• Maintain a clean store and follow food safety guidelines.
• Make beverages and prepare coffee during shifts.
• Unload deliveries up to twice a week and handle catering orders.
• Open shifts require cleaning tables and turning on equipment; closing shifts require cleaning and sanitization.

WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR

The Team Leader isresponsible for directing other team members (in addition to their regularduties) to run the store efficiently by being able to divide up duties andenforce them. Also this role is responsible for knowing how to prep allbeverages, stocking merchandise for the next business day, and operating allmachines that the store uses. Our Team Leader is the face of Paris Baguette;they provide friendly, fast, accommodating service to our customers. Ourcustomers can range from grabbing a pastry and coffee in the morning toenjoying a hot sandwich inside our café style bakeries. We take pride in ourwork and in our products. This includes the responsibility of keeping allspaces inside Paris Baguette clean to working our POS system to enter incustomer orders.

KNOWLEDGE ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing excellent customer service to all customersthat come into the establishment or call for orders following ParisBaguette’s high standard of excellence
• Check quality of all the products for displays andorganize rotation of displays for all pastries and desserts
• Delegating the duties between crew members on the floorand assigning the duties to be carried out
• Checking on the crew to make sure said duties arecompleted
• Enter in the customer’s order in the POS and know howto use the POS system in place
• Work and thrive in a team-work environment
• Adhere to food safety guidelines
• Make beverages on the basis and demand during operatingbusiness hours and prepare coffee
• Always keep all areas of the store clean whileoperating during business hours
• Refill and organize all pasties and beverages ondisplay
• Help unload deliveries (up to twice a week)
• Handle catering orders
• For Opening Shifts: Cleaning all tabletops, turning onall lights, TVs, radios and drink displays
• For Closing Shifts: Cleaning all tabletops, preparingthe drinks for next business day, sanitization processes, turning off allmachines, powering off all computers and turning off all lights, TVs andradios

HAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

• At least 1-2 years of food handling/store experience inside aParis Baguette retail store
• High School Diploma/GED or some college, preferred
• Current ServSafe certification, ServSafe instructorcertificate or ability to become certified, preferred
• Positive and passionateattitude
• High sense of integrity andownership

• Basic math skills (add,subtract, multiply, divide).
• Time management, ability to prioritizeand follow direction.
• Adherence to food safetyguidelines.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Proficient on Point of Salesystems, currently Toast. Understand the importance of cash handling andaccuracy of transactions.
