Overall Job Summary: The Team Leader assists the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving operational, sales, and merchandising goals by delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. They promote a safe, productive work environment and train Team Members on policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
- Maintain regular attendance and work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Uphold safety and promote a productive work environment.
- Deliver Legendary Customer Service following GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs, Recommend Solutions, Add Value & Appreciate.
- Perform duties such as merchandising, opening/closing, deposits, store assessments, workflow organization, merchandise recovery, price changes, customer issue resolution, loss prevention, communication, cash handling, policy training, and ensuring bird safety.
- Operate equipment like forklifts and balers, complete documentation, and obtain necessary licenses or certifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Retail or farming/ranching/pet/welding experience preferred; supervisory experience a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required; ability to read, write, and count is essential.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to perform all Team Member responsibilities.
Working Conditions
- Indoor and outdoor work with moderate noise; outdoor work in adverse weather.
- Shifts generally range from 4 to over 8 hours.
- Adherence to safety guidelines is required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move and lift merchandise up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 2000 pounds with equipment, and perform physical activities like standing, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to operate store equipment and complete documentation accurately.
- Ability to communicate effectively and complete training and certifications as needed.
