Job Overview

The Assembly Team Leader is responsible for leading a manufacturing team in a specific product line to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity, and to meet operational and team goals. This role involves maintaining, testing, and repairing mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies in the final assembly of equipment for Conair, Thermal Care, or Republic Machine brands. The position reports to the Assembly Supervisor and is located in Franklin, Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct, manage, and supervise the work of assemblers in a specific product line.
• Assemble equipment according to engineering drawings, schematics, and Conair standards, based on work orders or production schedules and specifications.
• Ensure assembly occurs on schedule and meets quality standards.
• Assist in developing and testing procedures and processes.
• Develop, train, and motivate team members to sustain a continuous improvement environment.
• Align team goals with company directives and enforce policies.
• Coordinate with engineering to update drawings and parts lists as needed.
• Layout and sometimes manufacture precision parts for assemblies.
• Evaluate, repair, and upgrade customer return equipment in collaboration with the return goods team.
• Maintain records of the assembly process, progress, and issues.
• Follow dispatch lists and coordinate with purchasing and scheduling to ensure inventory availability by reviewing shortage reports.
• Evaluate equipment and employee performance regarding quality and safety.
• Use bill of materials and Baan system to gather parts and confirm quantities for customer orders.
• Review daily inventory levels of manufactured and purchased parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment through regular cleaning and organization.
