Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Chantilly, USA, is seeking a Team Lead, Operations to oversee warehousing, receiving and shipping activities and to mentor a team of associates under the guidance of the Operations Supervisor.

You will ensure safety, quality and productivity, train staff on SOPs, manage shift coverage, and coordinate with supervisors to meet service and cost objectives in a fast-paced distribution center.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in logistics/distribution.
• Able to operate MHE and forklift equipment; forklift training completed.
• Work in unregulated warehouse temperatures across seasons.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new and existing associates on distribution activities.
• Train on shipping, receiving, picking and quality control SOPs.
• Assist in forklift operation and certification.
• Oversee unloading, stacking, and picking of shipments per SOPs.
• Coordinate with supervisors to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Prepare activity and productivity reports for site management.
