The Salvation Army is hiring for a Supervising Career Development Specialist in Los Angeles to lead a Veteran Employment Services team, ensuring high-quality employment support and partner collaboration. This on-site, full-time role requires supervising a Career Development Team, guiding assessments, and delivering job placement results.

You will train staff, manage data reporting, and build relationships with employers and community partners to place homeless veterans into sustainable work.

Formación

• 2 years of experience in Homeless services.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in employment services.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• California Class C Driver License required.
• Background checks and safeguarding guidelines compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Develop a program design and strategy for a Career Development Team.
• Provide oversight into client assessment, case management and service provision.
• Provide direct supervision of a Career Development Team including ongoing monitoring and evaluation of activities and staff performance.
• Monitor and meet required benchmarks in enrollments and placements on a Quarterly basis.
• Assist the Program Manager in capturing DATA for Salesforce and internal CIS reports.
• Train and become secondary user for the VGRS system required by DOL.
• Review and approve employee time sheets daily.
• Responsible for annual performance evaluation for all Career Development Specialists or assigned personnel.
• Create tracking logs to determine the process of new procedures.
• Create working relationships with community partners in referrals, training, and workshops.
• Conduct workshops for our homeless veterans on resume building or interviewing.
• Collaborate with America Job Centers, EDDs, and CoCs for veteran referrals.
• Conduct weekly or bi-weekly supervision with all Career Development Specialists.
• Develop Veteran Care Plan based on assessments.
• Strengthen job readiness skills through one-on-one and group sessions.
• Assist a contracted number of clients to locate, secure and maintain employment.
• Maintain client data and documentation of activities and outcomes.
• Provide appropriate job leads and match job-ready clients with openings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support clients’ goals.
• Assist in creating and reviewing program policies and training on changes.
• Assess and create action plans for growing enrollments and placements.
• Build and maintain relationships with public and private sector partners and employers.
• Serve as a job developer to recruit employers for clients.
• Monitor staff to provide follow-ups and support to veterans after placement.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings.
• Prepare regular activity reports.
• Conduct monthly All-Staff meetings.
• Conduct supervision with employees monthly.
• Other duties as assigned
