Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Supervising Career Development Specialist to lead a Veterans Employment Services team. You will supervise, train, and mentor Career Development Specialists, manage client assessments, and ensure employment placements meet program targets.

You will coordinate with program managers, funders, and employers, and ensure accurate data reporting. This role requires strong leadership and collaborative engagement with community partners.

Qualifications

• Annual Driving Test and MVR check.
• California Class C Driver License or equivalent transport.
• 2 years in Homeless services and 2 years in a Supervisory position.
• Bachelor's strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in employment services.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight into client assessment, case management and service provision.
• Supervise a Career Development Team including monitoring and evaluating staff.
• Monitor enrollments and placements quarterly against benchmarks.
• Capture data for Salesforce and CIS reports; train on VGRS system.
• Develop program design and strategy for the Career Development Team; train staff.
