Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of state and federal privacy laws and requirements in healthcare.
  • Professional certification preferred (CHPC, CHPE, or CIPP/US).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Project Managers conducting privacy investigations.
  • Oversee intake, fact-finding, assessment, and reporting to ensure thorough investigations.
  • Monitor investigative records for accuracy and timely completion.
  • Provide guidance and support to Privacy Office staff and incident response efforts.
  • Contribute to HIPAA Privacy policy updates and education efforts.
  • Assist in large incidents with data reviews and regulatory determinations.
  • Represent the Privacy Office on approvals and governance committees.
