Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• Minimum of three years of related experience.
• Experience with HIPAA required.
• Thorough understanding of privacy laws and regulations including access, release of information, and security technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the organization’s HIPAA privacy program and compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Develop, manage, and implement policies and procedures; ensure PHI access and use compliance.
• Conduct HIPAA risk assessments and collaborate with plan management, administration, and legal counsel.
• Maintain records and supporting documentation; manage breach investigation processes and OCR reporting requirements.
• Lead privacy training, communications, and governance activities; serve as internal HIPAA subject matter expert.
