Job summary

BlackFish Federal is seeking a Team Lead for Material Handlers to support the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). You will lead 10–12 staff, oversee daily warehouse operations, and ensure timely, accurate handling of records on site.

Key duties include coordinating with client contacts, monitoring performance, enforcing standards, and training personnel. The role requires lifting 30–50 lbs, ladder work, and strict adherence to security, with US citizenship.

Qualifications

• 3 years of directly related experience at NARA or similar environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of Team Lead responsibilities.
• Ability to lead a team of 10-12 employees.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
• Labor-intensive work environment capability.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to climb ladders to reach shelving up to 15 feet.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Meet with client or client point-of-contact to discuss task logistics.
• Monitor work for accuracy and timeliness with government personnel.
• Ensure personnel follow Standards of Conduct, security requirements.
• Serve as liaison between staff and client; escalate to COR/Project Manager as needed.
• Ensure sign-in/out and accurate weekly time totals.
• Remain on site during work performance with limited exceptions.
• Assist with training personnel and learning work processes.
• Ensure labor tasks meet production standards.
• Perform Material Handler tasks: locate containers, verify pull lists, stage documents, palletize, transport records, and audit requests.
• Retrieve documents for scanning, verify image quality, and assist with data entry.
