Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is seeking a passionate first-line manager to lead a team of Linux kernel engineers developing core CPU and SoC features for AMD EPYC processors in the data center. You will guide virtualization, memory management, and live migration work, ensuring upstream readiness and high-quality results.

You will collaborate with teams in India, the U.S., and Europe, driving pre-silicon validation, performance optimization, and issue resolution while coaching talent and shaping

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of kernel or systems software teams.
• Strong understanding of Linux kernel and upstream workflows.
• Experience with virtualization and kernel subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Linux kernel engineers, including hiring, coaching, performance management, planning and communication.
• Drive features across virtualization and kernel subsystems, ensuring upstream-ready and production-quality contributions.
• Oversee pre-silicon validation, platform performance optimization, and internal/customer debugging.
