About the Role

The Team Lead, Field Operations, is essential for ensuring smooth, high-quality field operations, focusing on managing workforce lifecycle and administrative functions. This role combines field oversight, administrative management, and team development.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of in-house technicians and portfolio associates.
  2. Split time equally between fieldwork and administrative duties (50% each).
  3. Coordinate maintenance efforts for multi-family and single-family properties, ensuring operational efficiency across all work orders.
  4. Serve as the primary contact for emergency responses, addressing urgent situations with technical expertise.
  5. Interview and select qualified candidates, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and values.
  6. Oversee onboarding, training, and resource provision for new team members.
  7. Analyze reports to identify risks and guide the team proactively.
  8. Manage termination processes per company policies.
  9. Review and approve payroll, ensuring accuracy in time-tracking.
  10. Maintain high service standards and productivity benchmarks, ensuring SOP compliance and providing feedback and coaching.
  11. Act as a liaison between the field team and other departments, working with leadership to improve operational efficiency.
  12. Conduct ongoing mentorship and support through regular one-on-one meetings.
  13. Travel as needed to property locations to provide support and conduct inspections.
  14. Perform quality assurance visits and review administrative tasks, including work order completion, inventory, and expenses.
Qualifications
  1. 3+ years management experience.
  2. 5+ years in property maintenance for multi-family/single-family properties, with a focus on routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance.
  3. Advanced knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in property maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
  4. HVAC Type I and II or Universal certification preferred.
  5. Strong mentoring, coaching, and team-building skills, with successful experience in training and developing teams.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Proficiency with technology systems for tracking, scheduling, and communication, and data-driven performance improvement.
  8. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $65,000 - $76,000 annually, based on experience and location.
