Swiss Re is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to head the Engineering & Construction Operations team in a hybrid environment. You will coach Underwriting Assistants and Operations professionals, drive performance, and partner with underwriting leaders to deliver precise, scalable service.

This role emphasizes transformation, governance, and continuous improvement across a complex specialty portfolio.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
• 5+ years of commercial insurance operations, underwriting support, or underwriting experience.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Engineering, Construction, Specialty, or Commercial Insurance operations strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated success leading change and process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coaching capabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Underwriting Assistants and Operations professionals.
• Create a high-performing, collaborative, and customer-focused team culture.
• Conduct performance management, career development, succession planning, and workforce planning activities.
• Drive employee engagement through regular coaching, feedback, and development discussions.
• Ensure appropriate workload balancing and resource allocation across the team.
• Oversee execution of all post-underwriting operational activities across the Engineering & Construction portfolio.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of binders, endorsements, policy issuance, renewals, cancellations, and invoicing activities.
• Monitor service levels, quality metrics, productivity measures, and operational KPIs.
• Identify and remove operational bottlenecks while improving end-to-end workflow efficiency.
• Maintain business continuity and proactively address capacity risks.
• Partner closely with Underwriters and business leaders to support portfolio growth and operational priorities.
• Develop strong relationships with brokers, underwriting teams, claims, compliance, finance, legal, and technology partners.
• Provide operational insight and recommendations to improve customer and broker experience.
• Support implementation of strategic business initiatives and portfolio growth objectives.
• Ensure operational activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and underwriting guidelines.
• Own audit readiness, documentation quality, evidence collection, and control execution.
• Monitor operational risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Escalate issues early and drive resolution plans to minimize business impact.
• Maintain strong data quality and operational governance practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, service quality, and controls.
• Champion technology enablement, AI adoption, automation opportunities, and workflow modernization.
• Support SOP governance, employee training, change management, and readiness activities.
• Contribute to future-state operating model initiatives and organizational transformation efforts.
