Job summary

Center for Human Services (CHS) in Sedalia, MO is seeking a Lead Support Professional to supervise day-to-day activities of Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community living setting. Responsibilities include empowering individuals towards independence, maintaining health documentation, leading a team of Direct Support Professionals, and coordinating community involvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year supervisory or management experience.
• One year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to satisfactorily complete mandatory trainings, including CPR/First Aid and Med-Aide.

Responsibilities

• Aid Individuals by providing physical and emotional support and maintain a safe, clean living environment.
• Empower Individuals by promoting independence and skill development in self-help and self-advocacy.
• Manage health and regulatory documentation; participate in trainings and meetings; on-call coverage as needed.
• Foster community connections and meaningful activities for Individuals.
• Lead and train Direct Support Professionals, manage schedules, timesheets, and performance evaluations.
• Promote a positive work culture with professional communication and respect.
• Assist with personal care and coordination with healthcare providers as needed.
