Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Aiken, South Carolina, is seeking a Team Leader - Off Shift to supervise hourly operators and assemblers manufacturing heavy-duty engine components. This role ensures adherence to production standards, monitors gauges and quality, and drives continuous improvement in methods and equipment performance.

You will report progress to management and help resolve production issues while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years in mechanical/maintenance or an equivalent Associate’s degree; OR 8 years in a heavy-duty machining environment.
• Advanced knowledge of SIEMENS control systems, machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Advanced ability to interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) and operate scanning devices for system communications.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the activities of hourly machine operators and assemblers engaged in the manufacturing of heavy-duty engine components.
• Observe work and monitor gauges, quality, standard time and other indicators to ensure production standards are met by the team.
• Identify and reduce non-value-added work and recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards.
• Keep management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems.

Basic Requirements

• Achieve points for Level 4 in the Skilled Based Pay Training Matrix
• High School Diploma/GED and 2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school or equivalent associate’s degree; OR 8 years of experience in a heavy-duty machining environment.
• Advanced knowledge of SIEMENS control systems, machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Advanced ability to interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) and operate scanning devices for system communications.

Preferred Requirements

• Knowledge of MTU DD products, policies and procedures
• Proficient in PC and use of the Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word)
• Knowledge of SAP system.
