Job summary

The Jay Group in Mountville, PA is seeking a 2nd Shift Team Lead to motivate a warehouse team, assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure safety and quality standards.

You will train new hires, provide feedback, and use the Warehouse Management System to process orders and documentation. OT may be required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead a team and coordinate tasks across shifts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet daily goals.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision and a proactive approach.
• Experience with warehouse/distribution operations preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual duties as needed.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assigns tasks to team members to optimize productivity.
• Monitors team productivity and coaches underperformers.
• Audits work quality and provides feedback as needed.
• Supports Supervisor with documentation and setup tasks.
• Maintains high standards for professional conduct.
• Onboards and trains new hires.
• Provides feedback to improve productivity, attendance, or workplace conduct.
• Addresses issues from the team and escalates when necessary.
• Promotes a safe, motivating workplace atmosphere.
• Completes tasks in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including orders, manifests, and invoicing.

Position Type: Full Time

Travel Percentage: Negligible

Team Lead position available for an individual who enjoys motivating a team to meet goals established per shift. The qualified individual will communicate requirements to the team, monitor and encourage safe practices for team members, and providing training. Schedule: Monday through Friday 3:30pm until 12:00 midnight (OT will be required based on business need) - Weekends as needed

2nd Shift Team Lead Job Responsibilities

• Assigns tasks to team members to optimize productivity
• Monitors the productivity of your team members, sharing numbers daily and coaching underperformers
• Auditing the quality of work performed by your team members and giving feedback as necessary
• Assists Supervisor with documentation, job set ups and paperwork
• Maintaining high standards for professional conduct
• Onboarding and Training new hires
• Giving feedback as necessary for productivity, attendance, or workplace conduct
• Listening to feedback and resolve issues from your team, escalating as necessary
• Promoting a safe and motivating workplace and atmosphere
• Completing required tasks in a Warehouse Management System (WMS). Tasks would include printing orders, researching orders, following end of day processing for manifesting and invoicing.

QualificationsQualifications:

• Ability to handle multiple tasks while under pressure and work in a team environment.
• Must be able to provide leadership to team members on various projects.
• Strong communication skills, writing and verbal
• Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
• Previous warehouse/distribution experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift and carry/move up to 50 lbs.
• Previous experience using WMS (Warehouse Management System) preferred, but not required.
• Must be available to work overtime as required.
• Bilingual for Spanish is preferred.
