Job summary

VIVA USA Inc in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Team Lead to supervise daily production activities and uphold Safety, Quality, and Delivery standards. You will provide direct leadership to production staff and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include coordinating production schedules, addressing skill gaps, training and onboarding, and delivering timely performance feedback. Overtime on weekdays and weekends may be required.

Team Leader

Position Summary

The Team Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily production activities while ensuring adherence to Safety, Quality, and Delivery standards. This role provides direct leadership to production employees, supports execution of production plans, and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of production employees, ensuring clear understanding of roles, expectations, and priorities.
• Execute production schedules in collaboration with management to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets.
• Identify skill gaps and support training, onboarding, and development of team members.
• Provide timely, constructive performance feedback and hold team members accountable for results.
• Promote continuous improvement by encouraging employee engagement and idea-sharing.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and company policies.
• Support daily operations, including flexibility to work weekday and weekend overtime as dictated by production needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse production workforce.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to address and resolve team conflicts effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to make timely, effective decisions using available data and information.
• Working knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Preferred / Stand-Out Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment.
• Experience in equipment programming, troubleshooting, or automation support

Notes

Overtime: May be required based on production needs.

Safety Requirement: Metatarsal safety boots and Prescription safety glasses (if needed) required on first day.

Shifts

Team Lead – (1) 2nd Shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)

Team Lead - (1) 3rd Shift (10:30 PM -6:00 AM)

Some Saturday work required.
