Job summary

The Children's Courtyard in Aurora, IL is hiring a Team Lead to guide classrooms, supervise teachers, implement engaging curricula, and ensure daily care follows licensing guidelines. You will lead by example, promote growth in children, and partner with families to celebrate progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility and leading a classroom.
• College credits toward Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or a CDA, preferred.
• Ability to meet state/accreditation requirements.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children; lead classroom management and curriculum implementation; instruction 50% of weekly schedule.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to support center success and child achievement.
• Mentor and assist with training of new hires and fellow teachers; create engaging learning experiences.
• Lead duties of Director or Assistant Director in absence; open and close the school.
• Ensure daily care following licensing guidelines and company standards.

As a Team Lead, you are a:

• Teacher! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care. Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation. Classroom instruction is at least 50% of weekly schedule.
• Communicator! Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
• Mentor! Be responsible for, or assisting with, the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and your fellow Teachers, as you create fun, interactive learning experiences to share with the preschool children.
• Leader! Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Expert! Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA, preferred.
• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay $18.30 - $21.00 hourly, Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options; based on Position, Education and Experience / any other compensation offered
• Immediate Health insurance (medical, dental and vision), paid time-off and 401K (plus company match) provided for full-time employees.
• Limited medical offered for part-time workers.
• Education assistance including tuition reimbursement and certification available to all employees
• Monday-Friday work week
