Job summary

Learning Care is seeking a Team Lead at a child care center in Baltimore to drive classroom leadership, curriculum implementation, and family engagement. The role focuses on promoting children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth while mentoring new staff and maintaining high standards of care.

The position emphasizes a Monday-Friday schedule, with compensation reflecting experience and credentials, and a strong emphasis on collaboration within a positive, supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a CDA preferred.
• Ability to meet state/accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in care and lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Communicate and build relationships with families to support child achievement and center success.
• Mentor or assist with training and guiding new hires and fellow teachers, creating engaging learning experiences.
• Take on duties of Director or Assistant Director in absence, including opening/closing the school.
• Ensure daily care by following licensing guidelines and company standards.

As a Team Lead, you are a:

• Teacher! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in your care. Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation. Classroom instruction is at least 50% of weekly schedule.
• Communicator! Communicate and build relationships with families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.
• Mentor! Be responsible for, or assisting with, the management, training, and mentoring of new hires and your fellow Teachers, as you create fun, interactive learning experiences to share with the preschool children.
• Leader! Take on the duties of Director or Assistant Director in his/her absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Expert! Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:

• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• College credits towards Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree or a CDA, preferred.
• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay $18.57-19.29 hourly, Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options; based on Position, Education and Experience / any other compensation offered
• Immediate Health insurance (medical, dental and vision), paid time-off and 401K (plus company match) provided for full-time employees.
• Limited medical offered for part-time workers.
• Education assistance including tuition reimbursement and certification available to all employees
• Monday-Friday work week
