Firefly Children and Family Alliance is seeking a Teaching Specialist for our children's shelter. This full-time/part-time role teaches social, academic, and independent living skills using the Teaching Family Model to promote positive behavior change per individualized plans. Shifts run 2:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
with at least one weekend per week. Part-time staff attend two weeks of in-person orientation, Tue–Fri 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Firefly Children & Family Alliance is currently seeking a full-time AND part-time Teaching Specialist for our children's shelter. As a Teaching Specialist, you are responsible for teaching sound social, academic, and independent living skills to youth placed in the shelter care facility through the Teaching Family Model in order to promote positive behavior change based on each youth's individualized behavior management plan.
This position is scheduled on second shift, with hours of 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Candidates must be available to work at least one weekend shift per week.
In addition, part-time staff are required to attend two separate weeks of in-person orientation and training, which take place Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
