Job summary
University of Maryland School of Nursing seeks two full-time, teaching-focused Assistant or Associate Professors to join the Community Public Health Specialty and the Department of Family and Community Health. Responsibilities include development and teaching of graduate courses, advising students, and contributing to governance, research, and service.
Ideal candidates hold a doctoral degree in nursing or related field, with leadership in community/public health and graduate-level teaching
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in nursing or related field is required.
- Leadership and management experience in community public health and population health.
- Graduate level preparation in community health nursing or public health.
- Prior academic experience and graduate-level teaching are preferred.
- Active nursing license or eligibility to practice in Maryland or a compact state.
Responsibilities
- Develop, teach, organize, and evaluate clinical and didactic courses in graduate programs.
- Advise graduate students and participate in department governance and scholarship.
- Engage in research, service, and activities that advance the school’s mission.
