The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) is currentlyrecruiting for two full-time teaching-focused Assistant orAssociate Professor to join the Community Public Specialty and theDepartment of Family and Community Health. The Community PublicHealth Specialty currently includes an MSN program withcertificates in Environmental Health and Care Coordination andrequired community public health courses for BSN, MSNE, and DNPstudents. The ideal candidates are doctoral prepared nurses with anadvanced degrees in community/public health and experience incommunity/public health/population health.

UMSON enrolls more than 2,000 students in its baccalaureate,master's, and doctoral programs and is ranked among the top tenschools of nursing in the nation. It is part of the University ofMaryland graduate professional campus that also includes theschools of medicine, dentistry, social work, pharmacy, and law andis becoming one of the fastest growing biomedical research centersin the nation. The unique composition of the campus enables healthprofessionals to address clinical care, public policy, and socialissues through multidisciplinary research, scholarship, andcommunity action. Primary Responsibilities

Successful candidates will participate in the development,teaching, organization, and evaluation of clinical and didacticcourses primarily in the graduate programs. In addition toteaching, responsibilities include advising graduate students;participating in the governance of the department/school;participating in research, scholarship; service, and otheractivities that advance the mission of the school.

Hiring Range: $122,000- $148,000
