Job summary

IVC in the UK is seeking Level 1 Teaching Assistants to join the SEND faculty, working with students aged 11-18 who have a range of needs, including EHCPs. You will support learning in lessons and during unstructured times to help students progress, and contribute to a collaborative team dedicated to inclusion.

The role offers opportunities for professional development, with training and CPD sessions for TAs and teachers, and potential training with Cavendish School for further growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading comprehensive schools. We are looking to recruit outstanding and passionate Level 1 Teaching Assistants, to work in our exceptional SEND department with our wonderful students.

At IVC, inclusion is at the heart of our ethos and we have a large and highly regarded SEND Faculty with approximately thirty Teaching Assistants. We have students from 11-18 with a wide range of needs, some of which are very complex, including over 110 students with EHCPs. We also have an Enhanced Resource unit for young people with complex cognition and learning needs. We are fiercely proud of our commitment to inclusion and can offer a truly unique experience for those looking to develop their expertise within SEND. Our students access bespoke provision, with a mixture of small group and individual intervention, as well as fully participating in a mainstream education, regardless of their needs. We are also working closely with the Cavendish School, which will provide further opportunities for training and development.
