Job summary

Capital Region BOCES is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students in our Special Education classrooms. You will work closely with teachers, assist students with their learning and daily living skills, and help implement IEP goals in a collaborative environment.

Starting at $21.58 per hour for a ten‑month schedule with optional extended year, the role offers health insurance, a public pension, and support toward NYS TA certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher degree and, if not already certified, willingness to begin process of obtaining NYS Teaching Assistant certification upon hire
• Strong desire to help our exceptional students succeed.
• Experience in a Special Education setting is a plus.
• Passion to help others, great communication skills and a personal drive for continuous learning.
