Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
• Must be able to respond to the needs of children.
• Non-Catholic teacher aides must have knowledge of the Catholic faith and support Catholic education goals.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Submit to employment-required screenings (criminal background, drug screening, MVR).
• Obtain Safe Environment training per diocesan requirements.
• Adherence to diocesan policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help the teacher(s) as the instructional program requires.
• Supervise individual students and small groups.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and bulletin boards.
• Use multimedia materials to reinforce lessons.
• Perform clerical work as needed.
• Supervise students during activities as directed.
• Plan instruction/activities with the teacher(s).
• Attend in-services and workshops as directed by the Principal.
• Perform other duties as directed by the teacher(s) and Principal.
• Work morning care and/or aftercare programs (extra pay).
