The College of Western Idaho (CWI) in Nampa, ID is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant for Geosciences to support faculty and students in developing practical skills and academic readiness for advanced geoscience studies.
The TA will assist with class, lab, and materials, help prepare instructional content, and foster positive working relationships among students, instructors, and staff. The role requires 1–2 semesters of geoscience coursework and provides a non-benefited, part-time position.

The Teaching Assistant for Geosciences will support the work of faculty and students in preparing the future geoscience workforce through practical skill development and academic readiness for advanced studies.
The TA will provide 16 weeks of support at 8 hours per week for each semester, that is a total of 2 semesters per project year. The TA is responsible for assisting MINE.AS instructors in training and supervision of students during the classroom, skills lab, and other components of the program. The TA is also responsible for ensuring effective utilization of resources, including supplies and time management. Performs general academic functions in support of a specific course, faculty, or department.
All candidates must reside within Idaho. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
