Primary Purpose of Position

The Department of Psychology, within the Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences at North Carolina A&T State University, seeks a teaching assistant professor whose primary role is teaching, service, and academic advising. The position requires instruction of undergraduate courses such as General Psychology for Majors, Freshman Seminar, Senior Seminar, Black Psychology, Psychological Statistics, and Research Methods, among others.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver student‑centered instruction in the assigned courses.
• Provide academic advising, mentoring, and recruitment for students.
• Develop curriculum and participate in program assessment and accreditation‑related activities.
• Support and supervise independent research projects of psychology students.
• Engage in departmental, college, and university service and community outreach.

• PhD in Psychology or a closely related field such as neuroscience.
