Job summary

Metro Therapy, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers in educational settings for children. The role involves assisting with daily programs, preparing materials, and helping manage classroom activities under teacher supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma, an active Teaching Assistant Certification, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is required.
• Must hold a valid and active Teaching Assistant Certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in child care, child development, or education is required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality educational experiences for children in the school or preschool setting.
• Work with individual students or groups of students on daily programs, special instructions, and projects under the direction of the teacher.
• Provides feedback and information to the teacher about students that will assist with the development of appropriate learning experiences.
• Assists in preparing lessons, materials, and instructional information including but not limited to art supplies, worksheets, educational games, and lesson plan support.
• Helps to maintain an organized classroom environment by managing student behavior, implementing classroom rules, and supporting transitions between activities.

Posted Salary Range

USD $24.00 - USD $24.00 /Hr.
