Job summary

Metro Therapy, Inc., a Powerback Pediatrics company, is seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant to support classroom teachers in schools or preschools. The role focuses on delivering high-quality educational experiences and assisting with daily programs.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid Teaching Assistant Certification, and at least one year of relevant experience in child care or education. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid and active Teaching Assistant Certification.
• At least 1 year of experience in child care, child development, or education.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality educational experiences for children in the school or preschool setting.
• Work with individual students or groups on daily programs, special instructions, and projects under the direction of the teacher.
• Provide feedback and information to the teacher about students to assist with the development of appropriate learning experiences.
• Assist in preparing lessons, materials, and instructional information including but not limited to art supplies, worksheets, educational games, and lesson plan support.
• Helps to maintain an organized classroom environment by managing student behavior, implementing classroom rules, and supporting transitions between activities.
