Job summary

Metro Therapy, Inc., a Powerback Pediatrics company, is seeking a licensed special education teacher to deliver focused instruction to children in school, preschool, or early intervention programs in New York.

You will implement IEP/IFSP mandates, assess progress, create lesson materials, oversee assistants, and collaborate with clinical teams. A Masters in Special Education and NYSED certification are required.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Special Education or Education from an accredited program.
• Current NYSED special education teacher certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual or group educational instruction to children in school, preschool, or early intervention programs.
• Deliver educational instruction as mandated in the IEP or IFSP.
• Assess and document the progress of each student through formal and informal tests and measures.
• Create materials and lesson plans.
• Oversee teaching assistants and aides, as needed.
