Are you passionate about helping young people reach their full potential? Do you believe that true education is about inspiring curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning?

Leigh Academy Minster is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in helping our students thrive - both academically and personally - within our unique small-school College model.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers and students to create an engaging, inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed. From providing in-class support and small-group interventions to encouraging positive attitudes and resilience, you’ll make a tangible difference every single day.

Within our welcoming and collaborative community, you’ll be part of a team that truly lives its values. We are committed to ensuring every young person receives not only a high-quality education but also the guidance and encouragement they need to grow as confident, kind, and capable individuals.

If you’re compassionate, proactive, and ready to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people, we’d love to hear from you.

The basis of this role is permanent, working 37.5 hours per week, term time only. This role offers an actual salary of £21,392 per annum (£25,185 full-time equivalent).

Working with us at Leigh Academy Minster

Leigh Academy Minster is a growing and forward-thinking secondary academy, proud to be part of Leigh Academies Trust. We are committed to providing an excellent, well-rounded education that supports every student to reach their full potential.

Our small-school model, delivered through a college structure, allows us to offer a personalised approach to learning. We set high expectations and support students to succeed through a strong culture of respect, ambition, and academic achievement.

We offer a broad curriculum that blends traditional subjects with digital innovation, while also reflecting the unique identity and history of our island community. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning, supported by dedicated staff and strong partnerships with families.

At Leigh Academy Minster, we aim to develop confident, capable young people who are ready for the next step, whether that’s further education, training, or employment.
