About the Role: Teaching Artist
The Teaching Artist is responsible for providing engaging, person-centered instruction that uses the creative arts and recreation as a pathway for developing workforce, life, and community skills. Through visual arts, digital arts, theater, movement, and other creative practices, the Teaching Artist creates meaningful learning experiences
that help participants develop pre-vocational skills including communication, collaboration, problem-solving, self-advocacy, independence, workplace readiness, and community participation. Instruction may be provided individually or in groups and is designed to build on each participant’s interests, strengths, abilities, and individualized learning goals.
